The Position
The BeMS Project Manager is expected to take ownership of projects ranging in value between £10k-£500k and should ensure that contracts are delivered on time, on budget and to client expectations. The successful applicant will have the following key responsibilities:
- Take projects from sales handover by forming an understanding of the quote, scope of works and specification
- Ensure standard documents are continually used and maintained
- Be responsible for health and safety management on all managed projects
- Regularly monitor, review and report on the progress of project progress, delays and resourcing amendments to the company and customer
- Undertake quality checks and control of all installation works
- Ensure all financial aspects of a contract are managed
- Maintain a strong personable working relationship with all clients
- Ensure standard documents are continually used and maintained, including the programme of works, technical submittals, RFI’s, variation summaries as well as technical documents such as points lists, description of operations and panel drawings. Utilises and interacts with project engineers when required.
- Manage all labour required on projects including electricians, commissioning engineers, panel designers and subcontractors.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in the BMS industry
- Excellent organisational and commercial skills
- Knowledge of Trend systems
- Good understanding of electrical & mechanical systems
- Knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation
- Managing contract documentation
- Managing customer expectations and opportunities
- A proactive attitude with pride displayed in your work
- Financial management – internal training to be provided
